Union Berlin vs. Ingolstadt
Saturday, February 16th 2013, 13:00 CET
The match between Union Berlin and Ingolstadt ended in a 1-1 draw, and this means that I lost the bet I made on Union Berlin’s victory.
The first goal came in the 66th minute of the game, when Florian Heller scored the first point for his team, Ingolstadt. The second goal, which reestablished the balance on the scoring table, was added in the 85th minute by Adam Nemec.
The previous match of Union Berlin (the one with Hertha BSC) has also ended in a draw (2-2). In that match, Simon Terrode helped Adam Nemec to increase the number of goals for Union Berlin, after managing to score a goal within only 9 minutes of play. Nemec added his in the 50th minute, and the team seemed to be very coagulated and capable to win over Ingolstadt. Unfortunately for Union Berlin, this time the only player who achieved to be enough determined was Adam Nemec, and this was clearly not enough.
On the other hand, the last match of Ingolstadt before the one with Union Berlin, more exactly the match against SC Paderborn 07 that took place on the 10th of February, ended pretty dramatically for Ingolstadt, and this is why my prognosis regarding a possible Ingolstadt’s victory or even a draw in the match with Union Berlin was very poor.
All in all, this Bundesliga match proved to be all about balance, against all odds.
