Recap
Paris Saint Germain vs. Marseille
Saturday, February 24th 2013, 9:00 CET
The match between Paris Saint Germain and Marseille from the French Ligue 1 ended in a 2-0 PSG’s victory, meaning that I’ve won the bet I placed on PSG’s success.
David Beckham achieved an impressive debut in PSG, after securing the French team with a 2-0 victory, which was vital for their attempt to win the Ligue 1 title. Last month, the former England captain signed a five-month deal with PSG. This way, he is helping the team to keep the balance while Zlatan Ibrahimovic is still recovering from his injury.
Even if Beckham started the match on the bench, leaving the other players the chance to make the early headlines, the interest was definitely bigger than usual.
The first goal of the match came within just 11 minutes, when N’Koulou made the difference by scoring an own goal. The second one was added by Zlatan Ibrahimovic, in the 90+1st minute, meaning that the player’s total recovery is just a matter of time, since he is already well enough to score a goal.
All in all, this match has brought, apart from a spectacular game, a fresh new figure from the world of international football.
