Manchester United vs. Chelsea

Manchester United recorded their fifth loss in the Premier League, in a game that moved Chelsea up above Arsenal in the battle for a direct Champions League spot. Chelsea won with 0-1, after Juan Mata deflected a shot by Manchester’s Phil Jones.
Rafael Benitez doesn’t seem to care about the style of play of his team anymore, only about the points he gets in the end, and didn’t seem particularly bothered by Sir Alex Ferguson’s accusations against David Luiz for getting Rafael sent off during the last moments of the game, which was a really packed one, and hard fought on both sides; the deserved ending of which would have been a draw. Emotions were high on both ends, both on the field and between supporters, seeing as Chelsea fans kept reminding their opponents that there is only one team left on the European field, and it wasn’t the Red Devils.
Manchester United seemed more like a passive observer in a game that picked up its pace only after the goal was scored in the 87th minute. Even though Ryan Giggs had some attempts to open the table in the first half, none came close to fruition. Victor Moses crossed the check mark on the list of attempts Chelsea made to score and even Fernando Torres after he was introduced in the second half, but it was a Manchester player who in the end started the celebrations for the Blues.
Since the players didn’t take the advice their coach gave them after winning the title into consideration (which was: “no slackening allowed”), they lost a game in which they almost didn’t play a thing, and I lost the bet I placed on them with the odds from bet365.
Result:-6 units, bet lost
