Evian Thonon Gaillard vs. P.S.G

Last Sunday, Ligue 1 leaders, Paris Saint Germain completed their row of victories with another teriffic victory managed against hosts Evian Thonon Gaillard. This result also brought me some extra cash, since I won the bet I placed last week on PSG’s victory at bet365.
A solitary goal from Javier Pastore which arrived early in the second half was enough for PSG to take another step towards the crown. However, in this match both sides missed some excellent chances. Moreover, Carlo Ancelotti’s side finished the match with nine men following dismissals for David Beckham and Marco Verratti.
The decisive moment came after a first half in which Paris Saint Germaine had fashioned several good openings without being particularly inspired. Therefore, the goal scored by Pastore was a bit out of character for the game to that point as it consisted in a lovely flowing move started with Jeremy Menez and finished with a fine shot into the net right from the edge of the box, after a smart pass from Christophe Jallet.
The pressure was emphasized when Verratti was shown a second yellow card with 10 minutes left. Beckham was intoduced to add some calm; ironically, in stoppage-time he was also shown a red card due to a stamping challenge on Youssef Adnane, even if he did not actually touched the forward.
In spite of all obstacles encountered, by the end of the match PSG had no reason to feel bad or disappointed.
