Dundee United vs. Aberdeen
Wednesday, January 2nd 2013, 10:00 CET
The match between Dundee United and Aberdeen that took place 2 days ago ended in a 2-2 draw, meaning that I’ve definitely won the bet I placed on Over 2.5 goals.
The manager from Dundee United, Peter Houston, stated that this time he has opted for a defensive strategy, since the January transfer window has opened. Also, Houston proved that he was very inspired when giving youth a chance and and made the debut of John Souttar possible. John Soutter, aged 16 is the youngest player from United. In this match, John proved to be a real talent within just 15 minutes. Houston claimed that he was forced to take such measures due to the number of injuries and suspensions and that he is not afraid of giving chances to much younger players.
Regarding the result of the match, Houston affirmed that a draw might have been a fair result, but what annoyed him the most was the free-kick for Aberdeen, when Jon Daly won the header and McGinn was backing into him. On the other hand, the boss of Aberdeen, Craig Brown, noted with interest the debut of the young Souttar.
All in all, it was a very balanced match with plenty of action.
